How you can pay
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. These are the methods you will see at checkout, and the icons in our footer show the same list. We do not accept American Express.
Currency
All prices on this site are in US dollars (USD) and are shown including any applicable taxes where required. Your bank may apply its own conversion or fees if your card is issued in another currency. That is between you and your bank, and we have no part in it.
When you are charged
Your payment method is charged when you place the order. You receive an email confirmation immediately with your order number and a summary of what you paid.
If a payment fails
If a payment is declined, no order is created and nothing is charged. Some banks briefly show a pending authorization that clears by itself, usually within a few working days. If you see a charge without an order confirmation, email support@alpenwool.com with the date and amount and we will trace it.
Secure processing
This entire site runs over HTTPS. Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers, and full card details are never stored on our systems. Orders are screened for fraud before they are shipped, and we may occasionally ask you to confirm details before we send an order out.
Full price disclosure
The price you see is the price you pay. Shipping is free, so there is nothing added at the last step. Any discount is shown in the cart and again on the checkout page before you confirm.
Billing errors and chargebacks
If you think you were charged incorrectly, email support@alpenwool.com before contacting your bank. We can almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback, which can take your bank several weeks.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. Timing and conditions are set out in our Return & Refund Policy.
